Kerala borders the states of Tamil Nadu to the east and Karnataka to the north.. Day 01
Cochin

Arrive Cochin
Arrive Cochin Airport and transfer to hotel. Late city tour of Cochin - Visit the Mattancherry Dutch Palace - (closed on Fridays and public holidays), which was built by the Portuguese in 1555 and renovated by the Dutch in 1663. Visit the Jewish Synagogue-(closed on all Saturdays and Jewish holidays) in Jew Town and Fort Cochin Area. Also see the Chinese Fishing Nets, along the tip of Fort Cochin unique to this part of Kerala and living symbols of a centuries-old Chinese influence on this coast. Dinner & Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02
Munnar

Cochin – Rainforest Kayaking at Thattekkad (3 hr Duration) – Munnar
After breakfast, leave for Munnar with en route Kayaking at Thattekkad. Reach Thattekkad Camp, where the kayaking guide will brief you on safety and other relevant aspects of your kayaking sojourn. Go kayaking in the Periyar River near the lowland forest of Thattekkad. Kayak along the famed Salim Ali Bird sanctuary. It is a Great opportunity to spot wildlife. While kayaking enjoy the breathtaking view across the river, of the mountains and the forest. Post lunch. Thereafter we will kayak on the Periyar River, followed by a short transfer to Bhoothathankettu for a Rainforest Trek.

Day 03
Munnar

Munnar - Mountain Biking at Suryanelli (3 hr Duration)
Reach Suryanelli camp. You will be met by our representative and will be briefed about the basic cycle mechanics and the route. You will be cycling through the narrow winding estate roads, the tea gardens and forest patches and through the Lockhart gap overlooking the spectacular Bison Valley deep down below. Evening after lunch, we leave for the visit to Mattupetty Lake and Dam and Echo Point, famous for its echo phenomenon. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04
Thekkady

Munnar – Thekkady (124 kms/4 hrs drive)
Today after breakfast depart for Thekkady by road. Arrive Thekkady and transfer to hotel. The town also houses one of world’s most fascinating natural wildlife sanctuaries. Lying at an altitude of 700-1900m above sea level, Periyar has a cool and comfortable climate. In the afternoon, proceed for the nearby activity camp. Enjoy an Elephant ride through a small spice plantation and witness Kalaripayattu – an ancient South Indian martial art and one of the oldest fighting systems in existence today. Visit the spice market at Kumily where you can buy fresh spices. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05
Kumarakom

Thekkady - Kumarakom (120 Kms / approx 05 hrs)
Today morning enjoy boat ride on Lake Periyar. The Park encompasses 26 sq. km. of artificial lake take a boat ride on the lake to view wild life and water birds. Herds of elephants and bison come to the lake to drink water. Return to hotel, checkout and depart for Kumarakom by road. Evening Sunset Cruise on backwaters. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06
Kumarakom

Kumarakom to Cochin airport (90kms/01 ½ hrs approx)
Today after breakfast depart for Cochin by road for onwards journey. Transfer to airport in time to board your flight. Tour concludes.
